TEFLON DON Teflon Don (Devin Welch) makes dancefloor anthems. The thing is, his dancefloor is in the upturned clutch of the undead - reaching out from a shallow grave of mildewed cassette shells, coffee bean mulch, and spiraling lengths of black magnetic tape. Recalling, at times, his inimitable work in shattered hip shakers Chromatics and Shoplifting, this 5-song suite reveals a gloriously bent style all his own. Spidery guitars trill while pump organs wheeze. Hiccuping rhythms excite wormy bass whips and mic'd scissor snips.
